EARTH MEETS SPIRIT

Photography is my response to the world surrounding me. It is my attempt to understand the connection between physical and metaphysical as I seek to represent my inner state through the physical reality of the outer world, expressing a mythical or mystical connection to the Earth and its inhabitants.

My personal vision explores the spiritual aspects of people and place and is concerned with how the sacred is recognized and expressed in everyday life. The act of making, not taking, photos is my daily lesson to slow down and be more aware of what presents itself. It is the act of paying attention by honoring and honoring by paying attention.

I hope that my photographs act as prayer-like offerings and as a departure point for the viewer’s own visual, emotional or spiritual journey.
