FINDING GOD IN THE ALLEY
Touching Spirit Close To Home
This project was made in and around the Warehouse District of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I lived at one end of downtown and had my photo studio at the other end and made my living as a fashion photographer. I believed that god lived in the mountains, forests and oceans and it took a mythic journey to find that place where the spirits dwelled.
Not owning a car at the time, this was my journey to feel and see god in the alleys and broken glass near where I lived, to touch spirit in the ordinary places of my life.
All images were made with a wooden 4×5 field camera on Tri-X film.
